Family Guy paid tribute to Adam West in their season 17 finale. He played Mayor West,
the eccentric mayor of Quahog, Rhode Island from 2000 to 2017. His comedic genius took this role to the next level. His character appeared on a recurring basis starting with season 2. Mayor West died off screen after West actually passed away in real life as revealed in the episode “Adam West High.” To further honor Mayor West, the high school in Quahog was renamed after Adam West.
Three years after West’s passing, Family Guy is giving Quahog a new mayor. Veteran actor, Sam Elliott will play the new mayor.
